I have a major decorating dilemma...I WANT A LIBRARY! The problem is that I have absolutely no where to put one. Somehow I am going to configure a way to have one, even if it means buying a bigger house! I am constantly browsing pictures of libraries looking for different shelving options, color schemes, and layout ideas. My favorite ideas involve creating a workspace type room with walls full of shelves and a large table surrounded by chairs in the center. This makes the room usable for not just reading but for craft projects, working on the computer, or even sewing. Scroll down to check out some of my favorite library inspiration rooms:

This room is just too perfect! I love everything from the scalloped shelves, to floral prints, to lush color combinations.
I liked how they styled these bookshelves with some books displayed forward to show off the covers.
Super cute and practical reading room for kids!
These books are stacked with the spine facing up so that from the front all you see are the white pages-that way you don't have to worry about the colors of the book clashing with your decor!
