Set the Table {Pt. 2}

Last week I shared some of my favorite table setting inspirations and ideas for any occasion or season.  This week I wanted to show you how easy it is to create these unique table settings on your own using a mix of vintage items from right here at Street Scene! We have absolutely everything you could ever need for your table settings from dishes to napkins, stemware to serving pieces, and even tablecloths and vases!   I've styled three completely different tables below, but there are so many more possibilities and ideas out there! We can always help you put something together in the store- take a look:

Fall Feast
Fall is just around the corner and there's nothing more fun than throwing a harvest themed dinner party.  Don't be afraid to brighten up your fall tablescape with pops of red, blue, green, and yellow.  This printed fringed tablecloth is the perfect fall backdrop for your table and coordinates beautifully with the plaid in this vintage wool blanket.  Layering tablecloths, napkins, and runners is the ideal way to make a unique and interesting table setting.  For the place setting, we used some bright lime diner dishes accented by a leaf-shaped snack set that is perfect for autumn.  Enamel dishes are ideal for fall picnics and I especially love enamel mugs for hot cider!  Finish off your look by adding some rustic details such as antlers, wood serving pieces, and natural and simple flower arrangements.

Tropical Table
This style is perfect for an outdoor summer dinner party, whether it's at home or at the beach!  This table setting is all about these gorgeous bamboo print dishes with glamorous gold edges.  The woven green placemats add a beachy touch, while the gold napkin rings perfectly match the gold rim of the dishes.  Our tiki-style cups and leaf-print glasses top off this topical look and add an extra splash of color to the table.  Fill the center of your table with cacti, tropical plants, fresh fruit, and plenty of candles!

Bohemian Banquet
The bohemian look works for just about any season and is the perfect excuse to use a variety of colors and plenty of florals.  This deep blue velvet tablecloth will add a dramatic and luxurious touch to any tablescape while providing a vibrant background for all your dishes and tableware.  Next we added lots of jewel-tone stemware, which we always have in abundance at Street Scene.  These multi-color medallion print plates are perfect for anyone going for a boho-chic style and they look awesome paired with printed floral napkins or tablecloths!  Mix more rustic wood touches with metallics and bright colors for that perfect bohemian finish.  To complete the look, layer lots of plants, colored glass vases, bright flowers, and candles all over the center of your table.
