Last Thursday, October 15th, Street Scene Vintage had the pleasure of collaborating with our local friends, Morris Book Shop, for their Pen to Plate dinner series. We were tasked with setting each of the three tables for October's featured chef, Wyatt Sarbacker.
These 16-person intimate dinners are a celebration of the cookbook. According to Morris, "Cookbooks hold special meaning. Be it the first book that taught you that vegetarian cooking wasn’t that scary, or the book that holds your mother’s favorite meatloaf recipe, food brings us together and helps create memories that last." Wyatt chose to celebrate Culinary Artistry by Andrew Dornenburg & Karen Page.
Each of our three tables were decorated with a fall theme, using different patterned table cloths and various fall décor such as black eyed susan's, green pumpkins, gourds and greenery. John Feather and Kathryne Wiseman used the table accessories, such as the glasses, napkins and candle holders, as a way to bring out the unique colors in each table cloth.
We hope the Morris' Pen to Plate dinner series and our funky fall table settings inspire you to grab your favorite cookbook and some friends to create your own fall-themed dinner party!
Each of the items pictured are available for sale at Street Scene Vintage! Come say hi!
