Like many Millennials, I am 100% Instagram obsessed. If I'm being honest, it's probably gotten to the point where it's not healthy anymore (and if I'm being really honest, I don't actually care). I spend entirely too much time scrolling through my feed, double-tapping carefully edited pictures and crafting ridiculously over-thought photos of my own. I can't help it though—I am a visual person through and through, and seeing the way others put together compelling compositions or capture beautiful light makes me truly happy.
One of the trends that has become arguably the most popular on Instagram is the flat-lay—or in other words, a bunch of items laid out on a flat surface and photographed from directly above. I am guilty of partaking in this trend a time or two (or 30), but it can often be a serious challenge to find enough items to build a complete, satisfying and likeable 'gram. An awesome way to overcome that challenge? Pick one color and find as many items as you can in that hue. Lay them out in a pretty arrangement and snap away, people. Lucky for you, we have enough stuff at Street Scene for your entire feed.
