What type of art is Street Scene looking for?
Street Scene is a vintage store that also specializes in modern accessories and unique gifts. We love offering interesting, one of a kind items to our diverse customers! This includes anything from reworked vintage pieces, greeting cards, jewelry and so much more! The more unique the better. We are most interested in items you can’t find anywhere else! We want our customers to have a unique experience when they shop with us, and therefore ask for exclusivity in the Lexington area when it comes to Art Consignment.
How do you pay your artists/makers?
We offer Art Consignment which means we cut artist checks each month that reflect the previous months’ sales. Artists receive 70% of their items sales. Checks are available for pick up on the 15th of the month.

As a small business, we are looking for things we know will sell well with our customers and fit the aesthetic of our store. We are also limited on space and therefore must be very curated with the Art Consignment we choose to carry. We always appreciate interest in working with Street Scene and the time it takes to apply. If your work is not selected it is not a reflection of its value, just a decision based on what is best for our store.
